Sensation vs. Perception

December 14, 2019

What is the difference between sensation and perception you ask? Don’t worry, I’ll tell you! But first a science joke…..

Sensation: aligns with transduction, which is the conversion of information from our internal and external environment into electrical signals in the nervous system. AKA what comes into our body through our sensory organs

Perception: processing all of this information to make sense of its significance. AKA what our brain does with that information

If you’re more of a visual person like myself, I made a nifty graphic to help you better understand!

Having standard showtimes for films was not common Having standard showtimes for films was not common until 1960. Previously most films would just play on a loop, and people could enter at any time.
